NXP makes successful launch Rapid IoT, product assembled by Kadled!
NUREMBERG, Germany, February 27, 2018 – NXP Semiconductors NV today announced its new Rapid IoT prototyping kit that unlocks Internet of Things (IoT) to a broader spectrum of innovators. The optimized power prototype solution, which aims to be safe and extremely easy to use, drastically simplifies the development of concept proof IoT edge nodes (PoC) for the consumer, commercial and industrial markets.
Rapid IoT accelerates the three phases of a typical PoC development to help even non-traditional technology innovators to bring an idea from IoT to PoC quickly and easily. It combines optimized hardware design and trusted security with preprogrammed applications that help users run within minutes of opening the box. The kit is extensible through a docking station and the MikroElektronika Clickboard ™ range to create a virtually unlimited number of applications.
''The new kit drastically accelerates the development of proof-of-concept designs in a matter of minutes. ''
“By combining the web-based IDE of Atmosphere IoT, Atmosphere Studio ™, together with the scalable and flexible portfolio of NXP, we have achieved a tightly integrated solution that serves the growing market community of IoT developers,” Jeff said. Liebl, CEO of Atmosphere IoT. “The Rapid IoT prototype kit reflects the mutual vision of Atmosphere IoT and NXP to facilitate the development of embedded IoT in the cloud.”
Leveraging NXP’s legacy of software enablement in millions of embedded devices, Rapid IoT has been designed to ease the transition from prototype to development with certified wireless batteries, controllers, middleware, integrated application examples and iOS / Android mobile applications. The automatic generation of source code for NXP’s MCUXpresso, a comprehensive and consistent set of software development tools that includes an SDK, IDE and Configuration Tools, further helps to provide a quick and easy transition for developers.
“By bringing together the best of NXP’s large IoT portfolio to meet the security, detection, processing and connectivity needs of the market, and facilitate software design and development cycles, our prototyping kit reduces the barrier to entry to the IoT market for new visionaries, “said Steve Owen, executive vice president of sales and marketing at NXP. “Regardless of background or skill level, innovators can take advantage of the kit to quickly develop prototypes of sensors to solutions in the cloud, as easy as 1-2-3.”
NXP will exhibit Rapid IoT in the Tinker Bar area of its stand, # 4A-220, at Embedded World 2018. The Rapid IoT prototype kit is priced at $ 49.99 and will be available for purchase in Q2 2018.
